Systech Retail Systems Corp., d/b/a/ OPENFIELD Solutions (“OPENFIELD Solutions”) today provided additional information on its assessment of its strategic alternatives. OPENFIELD Solutions had previously announced that it had engaged Cronus Partners LLC (“Cronus”) as financial advisor to assist in this assessment. According to President and Chief Executive Officer David Shonerd, "Cronus has been assisting us in seeking and evaluating strategic alternatives with a view to ensuring that the Company is able to meet its objectives as set out in management's discussion and analysis of the Company's most recently issued financial statements. In particular, the Company is focused on sourcing additional capital for investment in its ISIS software product suite, repayment of senior debt and strengthening of the balance sheet of the Company." The strategic alternatives being explored by Cronus include the potential sale of operating or non-operating assets, potential software development joint ventures or partnerships, the raising of additional debt or equity capital or an outright sale of the Company.
